Abstract

The Master thesis solves the issue of effective milling of stainless steels. It analyzes the dynamic load and force ratios in machinig and evaluates surface rougness parameters for milling of stainless steel 1.4404. In the theoretical part there are described experimental activities dealing with cutting forces and surface roughness parameters. The next part is dedicated to description of materials, cutting tools, machinig center, used gauges and cutting conditions. The experimental part is devoted to the description of the experiment. It was subsequently processed, evaluated and determined components of cutting forces Fx, Fy and Fz, resulting force F and surface rougness parameters Ra and Rz. The resulting values were compared with the theoretical part and the evaluation was conducted. The recommended cutting conditions were determined at the end of the thesis.
