Abstract

This thesis addresses the issue of pollution of motor oils and the use of appropriate methods tribotechnical diagnosis to monitor their condition. In the theoretical section summarizes the current knowledge of the properties and classification of motor oils. The paper also highlights the main parameters and methods with which to evaluate the degradation of engine oil. The practical part of the thesis deals with the possibility of using chemometrics TQ Analyst software and evaluate the possibility of the use of infrared spectroscopy for the analysis of motor oils.
