Emise oxidů dusíku při kombinovaném spalování zemního plynu a tuhého paliva v experimentální spalovně odpadu

Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of nitrogen oxide emissions generated during the combined combustion of natural gas and solid fuel in an experimental waste incinerator. Nitrogen oxides belong among significant pollutants affecting air quality, and their formati-on is closely related to the combustion process and the operating conditions of the equip-ment. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the mechanisms of nitrogen oxide formation during combined combustion and to assess the influence of selected operating parameters on their concentration in flue gas. The theoretical part focuses on the description of chemical and physical principles of NOₓ formation and provides an overview of current possibilities for their reduction. The experimental part is devoted to measuring nitrogen oxide concentrations under varying combustion conditions and evaluating the obtained results. The results of the thesis contribute to a better understanding of NOₓ emission behavior during combined combustion and may serve as a basis for optimization of combustion equipment operation with respect to emission load.
