Abstract
This work deals with deploying of multithreaded real-time operating system Phar Lap ETS which is designated for industry and embedded PCs and demonstrates creation of priority controlled multithreaded application and mapping and using of PCI card and TCP/IP network interface. The main goal is to create a control application for controlling of laboratory model of “Levitation ferromagnetic object in an electromagnetic field”. This model is characterized by very low time constants and its controlling with PSD regulator requires accurate sampling period, that the current OS is not able to provide. Using of real-time operating system allows precise timing and priority based scheduling of thread in running applications. The application runs on a desktop PC equipped with multifunctional measuring card and is developed in C programming language in Visual Studio 6 extended with ETS plug-in.
