Muzeum současného umění – Rohan

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem Rohanského muzea současného umění, umístěného na území Rohanského ostrova v pražském Karlíně. Cílem projektu je vytvořit architektonický koncept kulturní instituce, která navazuje na stávající urbanistickou strukturu a přispívá k dalšímu rozvoji této části města. Návrh usiluje o začlenění stavby do kontextu karlínského nábřeží a o její propojení s přilehlým parkem Maniny i nábřežím řeky Vltavy. Projekt klade důraz na tvorbu otevřeného veřejného prostoru, jenž podporuje propojení umění, architektury a každodenního života města. Objekt má sloužit nejen jako místo pro prezentaci současného umění, ale také jako prostor pro setkávání, dialog a sdílení kulturních hodnot. Výsledkem práce je architektonická studie, která propojuje estetické, funkční a urbanistické principy a zkoumá možnosti, jak může současná architektura přispět k formování identity Karlína a Rohanského ostrova.

The diploma thesis focuses on the design of the Rohan Museum of Contemporary Art, located on Rohan Island in the Karlín district of Prague. The aim of the project is to create an architectural concept for a cultural institution that builds upon the existing urban structure and contributes to the further development of this part of the city. The design seeks to integrate the building into the context of the Karlín waterfront and to establish connections with the adjacent Maniny Park and the Vltava River embankment. The project emphasizes the creation of an open public space that fosters the interaction between art, architecture, and everyday urban life. The building is intended not only as a venue for the presentation of contemporary art but also as a place for encounter, dialogue, and the sharing of cultural values. The outcome of the thesis is an architectural study that combines aesthetic, functional, and urban principles, exploring how contemporary architecture can contribute to shaping the identity of Karlín and Rohan Island.
