Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the design of mechanical break of derrick crane bar. Introduction is devoted to various types of cranes and their issues. The main focus is the crane bar and its usability. Structural elements and its parts are also mentioned. Furthermore the thesis includes design options of different types of brakes and the basic strength and kinematic calculations for the selected design. In the conclusion, choosing of particular design solution is justified. Assembly drawing and proposed components are enclosed in attachments.
