Abstract
This master's thesis focuses on the design of an automatic manipulator intended for a metallographic cutting machine. The main objective is to develop a mechanical system that enables automated handling, storage, and clamping of cutting discs. The introductory section provides a description of the cutting machine and its operation. Subsequently, possible structural design alternatives for the disc exchange system are analyzed and compared, taking into account applicable standards and specified requirements. Based on this evaluation, a systematic design of the overall assembly layout is proposed, including the selection of appropriate working components. The design is supported by technical calculations and compliance with relevant standards. The thesis includes detailed technical drawings attached in the appendices.
