Abstract

The thesis “Development of the Municipal Costs on Funding Schools and School Facilities in a Municipality“ focuses on the issue of the development of financial costs on funding schools and school facilities in the town of Šumperk. The aim of the work is to analyse and evaluate the financial costs on funding schools and school facilities, the way and conditions of funding during the years 2007 – 2012. The thesis consists of three main parts, including Introduction and Conclusion. The first theoretical part deals with the role of the town in providing education and school needs, particularly the role of the establisher, their obligation and education authority. The second practical part analyzes financial funds for state-funded institutions in the field of education provided by the town of Šumperk as the establisher during the years 2007 – 2012. The third part is practical as well. It evaluates the approach of the town as the establisher to funding schools as well as the economic behaviour of schools and school facilities with regard to financial funds provided by the budget of the town.
