The master thesis deals with the assessment of the operational reliability of air conditioning units of metro vehicles. Input data provided by Siemens Mobility s.r.o. contain daily records of defects on all trains in the fleet. The air conditioning was divided into functional groups, which were estimated parameters of the probability distribution by the method of linear regression using MS Excel and specialized software WEIBULL ++. In the last part, the LCC prediction is performed on the basis of supplier's data as well as on the basis of data from operation and estimated parameters of the probability distribution of air conditioning elements. Finally, the achieved operational reliability is evaluated with respect to the theoretical model.
