Abstract

This thesis deals with the characteristics of conventional and organic farming in the Czech Republic and the European Union. It compares the performance of conventional farms and organic farms, also compares conventional agriculture in the Czech Republic and ecological agriculture in the Czech Republic. The work is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter describes the development of the Common Agricultural Policy and its funding. It also focuses on organic farming, its basic concepts, development and financing. The second chapter describes conventional and organic farming in the Czech Republic, deals with the effects of the CAP on the Czech Republic and describes the economic aspects of organic farming. The third chapter compares the two farms - organic farm and a conventional farm. There is also compares the quality of products, conventional and organic farming, including economic comparison.
