Abstract
The master thesis deals with the application of capacity calculation in railway transport for the calculation of the theoretical capacity of the runway. The first part is focused on the decription of capacity calculation in railway transport, the phenomenon of wake turbulence and the related categories of airplanes and the separation between them. Also, this part describes the method of calculation of theoretical capacity of the runway. The next part of the master thesis deals with the description of Leoš Janáček Airport, where the individual times of také offs or landings were measured. These times are statistically processed and then used to determine the theoretical runway capacity at that airport. In the last part of the thesis there is a comparsion of the results achieved by proposed method in this work with results achieved in the bachelor thesis – Selected Aircraft Process Modeling which was also devoted to the calculation of maximum theoretical capacity of the runway at Leoše Janáček Airport. Furthermore, this chapter compares the results achieved by the proposed method on a real set of mesured times with the results of an experimental example.
