Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the Rankin-Clausius cycle. In the introduction the principle is described Rankin-Clausius cycle and a comparison of the real and ideal cycle with the corresponding T-s and i-s diagrams. Then the different parts of the basic cycle where energy transformation occurs are described. The second segment of the theoretical part deals with Carnotization, methods to increase the efficiency of cycle, where the different methods are defined with the corresponding diagrams and schematics. In the practical part of this bachelor thesis, attention is paid to the calculation of the efficiency of the basic Rankine-Clausius cycle. The practical part is step by step and continuously tabulated. At the end of the calculation, it uses a summary with the relevant T-s and i-s diagrams. The thesis includes a comparison of coal consumption, price, and transportation cost.
