Abstract

Master thesis deals with Performance Evaluation of a Company and Proposal of Measures for Improvement. The aim of thesis is to evaluate the performance of a selected company by using selected methods and make a proposal of measures for improvement. The theoretical-methodological part of the thesis defines the basic theoretical bases of company performance measurement necessary for the application part of the thesis. The application-verification part of the thesis deals with the characteristics of the monitored company and the selected methods of company performance evaluation, i.e. financial analysis, Balanced Scorecard and application of KPI. The last part of the thesis deals with evaluation of the achieved results and provides proposal of measures for improvement. The results of the master thesis show that financial side of the company is not bad, but there are some financial indicators which should be improved. Furthermore, it was found that the company would need to increase the number of its clients and innovate more. The practical part of the thesis also found that the company suffers from a lack of university-educated employees with good professional experience. The last area that needs attention is the weak motivation of the company's employees. Recommendations and suggestions were made regarding improving the company's overall liquidity, acquiring new clients and increasing the satisfaction of current ones, as well as the importance of investing in employee training and increasing their motivation, as well as recommendations on increasing the company's internal business processes and suggestions related to KPI tracking to improve business performance.
