Abstract

The bachelor's thesis deals with the design and construction of a sand storage battery intended for the storage and subsequent use of thermal energy. The aim of the thesis is to propose the most suitable construction solution for the storage of thermal energy and its reuse in the form of heat. The first part introduces the main use of the tank and basic construction designs. The most suitable variant serves as a basis for further design. Subsequently, the thesis is devoted to the technical calculation of the tank itself according to the ČSN EN 14015 standard, the construction of all parts of the tank. Subsequently, according to the calculation, a suitable insulation material and structure for the placement of solar panels are selected. Finally, a thermal analysis is performed in the Autodesk cfd program and a strength analysis in the Inventor Nastran program.
