Abstract
Master thesis is dealing with reverse analysis of hand driven mining winch used around 1920 and design of its mining tower for exposition purpose. Introduction briefly deals with history of mining winches followed by description of winch, the thesis deals with. Then identification of gear tooth and strength calculation is made. Next part is focused on load possibilities of winch, based on chosen hoist design. For result load, the strength calculation of winch drum, brake and shafts are made. Based on reference point of surface where winch is going to be exposed, the screwed construction of mining tower is designed. Needed tightening torque of the most stressed bolt is made. Designed construction of tower and chosen parts of winch are afterwards subjected to finite element method control (FEM). Finally results of made calculations and their meaning are discussed as well as possibilities of future construction expansion.
