Abstract
KOVAŘČÍK, Václav. Design of a Contact Unit for Adjusting and Testing the Correct Functions of the Headlight. Ostrava, 2026, master’s Thesis. Ostrava: VSB – Technical university of Ostrava, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of 340. 64 p., Thesis supervisor: Ing. Jan Blata, Ph.D.
This master's thesis deals with the design of a Contact Unit for Adjusting and Testing the Correct Functions of the Headlight. It involves the design of a device that ensures positioning in the X, Y, and Z axes. The introduction describes the background of the given topic and establishes the objectives of the thesis. Subsequently, the theoretical part describes headlamps, their types and lighting functions, types of drives, and mechanisms for converting rotary motion into linear motion. The section on the actual design solution first describes the current state of the device and proposes alternative design variants for the X and Z axes. Based on the requirements, specific solutions for movement in the individual axes are elaborated. Autodesk Inventor 2023 software was used for the mechanical design of the device. The master's thesis is supplemented by appendices containing assembly, subassembly, and manufacturing drawings.
