Abstract

In my bachelor thesis, I assessed the possibility of implementing Prepreg technology during The Ellipse Spirit airplane manufacturing. In the theoritical part of the thesis, the current manufacturing process is described. The practical report includes two section. In the first section, experiments were carried out in order to gain experience concerning the practical employment of prepegs. In the second section, the obtained experience was applied during the manufacture of two components, first, using the current technology and then using the prepeg technology. In conclusion, the two manufacturing processes and properties of both components were compared.
