Ostrava: VŠB – technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Energy, 2015, 64 p. Supervisor: doc. Dr. Ing. Bohumír Čech This thesis focuses on the proposal of desulfurization equipment for boilers K5 and K6 in Teplárna Planá nad Lužnicí. Due to reconstruction and modernization of the heating plant boilers is necessary to meet the new emission limits, which can only be achieved with appropriate desulphurisation unit. The first part describes the heating plant before and after reconstruction. The task was to compare all the possible desulphurization methods that are used in the energy sector. It was also necessary to calculate the quantity of combustion gases produced and fuel consumption of operating boilers. The main objective is to choose the best and most ideal method for desulphurization of the plant. In the last part was necessary to design exhaust fan that will overcome the resulting loss of pressure.
