Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the design of a glass grooving machine. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the problem of vacuum suction cups, which are used in industry and beyond. Next, vacuum sources and their design are discussed. The main part of the thesis is devoted to the design of the machine itself, where each part of the machine is described. Furthermore, design calculations are made in the selection of the elements, where pneumatic cylinders provide part of the frame movement and vacuum suction cups, which have a locking function during the actual glass grooving. At the end of the work, the operating instructions for the machine are elaborated. The aim of this thesis is to develop a comprehensive design of a grooving device using pneumatic mechanisms, which aims to make the production of designer glass faster, easier, and more efficient. The bachelor thesis was developed in cooperation with GTB group Ltd., where the implementation of the device will take place.
