Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with studying the effect of surface treatment on the quality of coatings. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and experimental. The theoretical part includes surface properties and characteristics, surface preparation before coating application, coatings and surface coatings, appearance control, surface cleanliness and adhesion, and the last chapter of the theoretical part deals with corrosion. The experimental part deals with the assessment of the adhesion of the coating system to the surface of the different types of dust. One type of surface is tested, namely standard rolled steel, where 6 samples are unexposed, 6 zinc dust VP is applied to 6 other samples and HP 6 zinc dust for 6 samples. Adhesion was examined before and after exposure to the corrosion chamber. Where the best adhesion prior to exposure to the corrosion chamber showed all samples, after 26 hours in the corrosion chamber showed the best adhesion of the unexposed sample.
