Abstract
The master thesis deals with a design of a frame of a lift car. The first part presents a research of a principle of rope lifts as well as their safety and certified components. It also describes the design of frames with both 1:1 and 2:1 roping. The empiric part of the thesis concentrates on the selection and calculation of components as mentioned at the EN 81-1 standart. Based on the FEM results the necessary upgrades and adjusments of frame design were made so it would meet the condition of strength and maximum deflection. During the proposal of the construction the main focus was put on the minimalization of dimensions and choice of suitable components for low pit a low headroom. The design of the frame car
is made using bent profiles of different tights connected by screw connections.
