Abstract
The aim of this work is to clarify the issue of error rate of selected statistical tests within the implemented corrective actions in the continuous improvement process. The work describes the continuous improvement process not only in terms of quality management systems, but also in general. The work also pursues with selected statistical tests evaluating the effectiveness of improvement actions, which will be used to estimate the probability of type I error. The examined tests were chosen because they are not burdened with many conditions for their implementation. On the other hand, these selected tests have the disadvantage that they are not very accurate in the results, so their accuracy will be examined by simulations. At the end of this work the relationship between the expected size and the actual size of the probability of a type I error will be clarified.
