Abstract
This master's thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a compliance program for a selected family-owned company in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the current state of the company in terms of legal and ethical standards adherence and, based on the findings, to develop a comprehensive compliance program that addresses the specific needs and risks associated with the company’s activities.
The thesis first outlines the theoretical foundations of compliance, including the legal aspects of corporate criminal liability and the importance of ethical management in business. Following the theoretical framework, an analysis of the current state of the family company is conducted, evaluating internal processes, risks, and existing control mechanisms. Based on this analysis, a detailed compliance program is proposed, which includes specifications for necessary measures, the introduction of an ethical code, educational programs for employees, and effective tools for monitoring and evaluation of compliance.
In addition to the compliance program, the thesis proposes an ethical code that establishes the principles of behavior expected from all employees and the management of the company. The code is designed to support transparent and responsible decision-making processes and to strengthen trust among employees, business partners, and the schema_dspacedb.
The result of the thesis is a set of tools and procedures that not only help the company respond to current compliance challenges but also proactively prepare for future legislative changes and market requirements. This compliance program provides a robust foundation for ensuring the sustainable development of the family-owned company, protecting its reputation, and supporting its long-term success in the market.
