Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with analysis of competition, clarifies related notions and their interlocking. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to analyze competition on the market with honey. The necessary information was obtained using the observation method at selected stores in Ostrava. Information about the producer, weight and price of products, countries of origin, quality labels, shelf placement, sizes and packaging types were observed and recorded. The products of the large buyers and processors of honey were analyzed. The recommendations and suggestions of this thesis enable to strengthen the competitive position of the chosen enterprise. The result of the thesis is the decision on the effective distribution routes of the selected company and the decision on the possible price change in comparison with the competition.
