Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis analyses a design of a heat pump for heating and preparation of a utility water for a family house. The theoretical part includes a short introduction into the issues of heat pumps as well as sources of heat for heat pumps. Furthermore the thesis describes various types of heat pumps, including their advantages and disadvantages. In the calculation’s part, the thesis calculates heat losses at a family house and then it calculates the demand for heating and hot utility water preparation. The last part of this thesis discusses how to choose a suitable heat pump and benefits of using a heat pump from an economical and environmental perspective.
