Abstract
The thesis is focused on the design of a steam air heater of a gas boiler, which burns various mixtures of gaseous fuels. In the air heater, condensation of steam occurs, which transfers heat to the intake air. The first part of the thesis deals with different types of air heater and elaboration of two technical reports from performed measurements in order to obtain data for design of steam air heater. In the computational part of the thesis, the stoichiometry of gaseous fuels, boiler efficiency, balance calculations and heat calculation of the steam air heater are solved. In conclusion, there is a brief economic evaluation of the benefits of the proposed solution. The aim is to design a steam air heater for a given gas boiler.
