Abstract
This diploma thesis deals with the mechanical testing of the aluminum alloy AlSi12, produced using the Selective Laser Melting (SLM) method. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the principles of SLM technology, the properties of the AlSi12 alloy, and the factors influencing the final quality of printed parts. The practical part deals with the production of test specimens using various combinations of printing parameters (laser power and scanning speed) on the Renishaw AM 400 machine. The samples were tested for hardness, surface roughness, porosity, and tensile strength. The test results were evaluated and compared in order to design the optimal printing parameters to achieve the desired mechanical properties.
