Detekcia a monitorovanie urbanizácie pomocou radarových dát Sentinel-1

Abstract

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá detekciou rozvoja urbanizácie pomocou radarových satelitných dát z misie Sentinel-1, doplnených o optické dáta z misie Sentinel-2. Hlavným cieľom práce bolo otestovať a zhodnotiť možnosti detekcie novej zástavby s využitím rôznych metód detekcie zmien v štyroch vybraných lokalitách, konkrétne v Bratislave, Trnave, Ostrave a Žiline. Diplomová práca sa skladá z troch častí. Teoretická časť popisuje proces urbanizácie, jej príčiny, faktory a dôsledky. Ďalej sa zameriava na princípy diaľkového prieskumu Zeme, charakteristiku radarových a optických satelitných dát, spektrálne indexy, metódy detekcie zmien a program Copernicus vrátane misií Sentinel-1 a Sentinel-2. Praktická časť popisuje použité programové vybavenie a postup spracovania dát, ktorý zahŕňal predspracovanie satelitných snímok, výpočet detekcie zmien, výpočet spektrálnych indexov, klasifikáciu obrazu a jej validáciu s využitím ortofotosnímok. Záver práce sa zaoberá zhodnotením rozvoja novej zástavby v jednotlivých lokalitách a porovnaním presnosti výsledkov jednotlivých metód detekcie zmien.

This diploma thesis focuses on detecting urbanization trends using radar satellite data from the Sentinel-1 mission, combined with optical data from the Sentinel-2 mission. The main objective of the thesis was to test and evaluate the possibilities of detecting new built- up areas using various change detection methods in four selected locations, specifically in Bratislava, Trnava, Ostrava, and Žilina. The thesis consists of three parts. The theoretical part describes the process of urbanization, its causes, factors, and consequences. Then it focuses on the principles of remote sensing, the characteristics of radar and optical satellite data, spectral indices, change detection methods, and the Copernicus program, including the Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 missions. The practical part describes the used software and data processing procedure, which included preprocessing of satellite images, change detection calculations, spectral index calculations, image classification, and its validation using orthophotos. The final part of the thesis evaluates the expansion of new development in selected locations and compares the accuracy of the results from the various change detection methods.
