Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the design of a console carrying a pair of seats. In the introductory part we deal with various contemporary ways of fixing seats in railway wagons. Subsequently, I focus on the types of seat mounts used up to the side of the car. In the following part, we are dealing with design variants and subsequent selection of the final variant. The final variant is described in detail and tested by strength analysis followed by a safety check. The appendix is a drawing documentation for the console.
