Abstract

Abstract Master thesis evaluates two different technologies of low carbon wire drawing. This thesis elaborates technology of wire drawing with dies and technology of wire drawing with rolls. Various technologies are described in the theoretical part and the practical part evaluates results obtained from operation of both technologies. The evaluation was carried out from viewpoint technological and economic terms, where were assessed conversion costs for technology of wire drawing with rolls and technology of wire drawing with dies and from the viewpoint of the materiál properties, where were evaluated results of the tensile strength after the last pass and tensile strength after each pass and amount of the residual lubricant after each pass. Assessment of the evaluated results, individual recommendations and suggestions for further testing and optimization are discussed in the conclusion.
