Možnosti využití inovativních technologií zaoblení ostří tangenciálních vyměnitelných břitových destiček

Abstract

The master’s thesis deals with the selection of a suitable cutting-edge rounding technology for tangential indexable inserts. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the measured values of edge rounding size and to determine which technology is most suitable for each type of insert in terms of manufacturability. The theoretical part of the thesis explains the significance of edge rounding and cutting-edge microgeometry, as well as the influence of the radius size on the cutting process. Subsequently, technologies used for its production are presented. The practical part was carried out at Dormer Pramet s.r.o. and focuses on the design and execution of an experiment, the determination of edge rounding size using a Mahr MarSurf XC 20 profilometer, and the subsequent statistical evaluation of the obtained data. During the experiment, wet sandblasting, brushing, and drag finishing technologies were applied. The results of this thesis will be used as a basis for determining a suitable technology to achieve the required cutting-edge rounding size in the manufacturing practice of Dormer Pramet s.r.o.
