Adduced bachelor work deals with effectivity of production pilger rolls. Main aim is compare selected exchangeable cutting inserts. They were choosen by specialists from Strojírny Třinec, a.s., and Seco companies. Brinell of matter is in the range of 270-330 HB. The first part of bachelor work describes the types of machining, cutting materials, coating and hardness. The second part describes and evaluate the production process and the newly designed exchangeable cutting plates with evaluation of experiment.
