Abstract
Diploma thesis deals with specific application of finite element simulation of cross-roll leveling of tubes. First of all, the technical condition of the straightening machine, which was detected by 3D scanning, has been analyzed. Then, the series of FEM simulations of straightening of tubes with different thin-walled rate, was performed. On bases of these simulations, the methodology for optimization of setting of straightening machine was proposed. In the last chapter a new shape of straightening rollers is designed and assessed with respect to contact surface.
