Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the design of an assembly fixture that ensures the correct position of LED modules in relation to the mounted reflector during the assembly operation. At the beginning of the thesis, a research of lighting technology in the automotive industry is carried out to get a better idea of the problem addressed. In the next section, existing devices that are used for a similar operation are evaluated from a functional point of view. Based on these and on new recommendations from the LED module supplier, several options for the different fixture design nodes are proposed in Chapter 6. The options are evaluated according to the relevant factors and the most suitable option is selected for each node. At the end of the thesis, in its calculation section, check calculations and FEA simulations are performed for the selected elements to verify their sufficient strength. The resulting strength and functionally satisfactory design are documented in an annex to the bachelor thesis.
