Abstract

The bachelor thesis solves the problem of thin and thick rings for various loading cases. The work includes three various loading cases of thin and thick rings with circural or square cross-section. These cases include two applied forces, four applied forces and applied pressure. Rings are solved in accordance both with thin curved beams theory and thick curved beams theory. The results of both these theories are compared with one another. The problem of thin and thick rings is also solved by means of numerical finite element method using ANSYS 11.0 program. The results of numerice solution are compared with the results of analytical solution.
