Abstract

This thesis is concerned with an engineering design of a rope tackle for the pulling of burdens. The maximum pulling force in one part of the rope is 1000 [N] and the length of the pulling track is 1,5 [m]. The design is done according to the security norms and prescriptions. The main constructional computations in the thesis are - calculation of the rope structure, design of the drum, calculation of the ratchet wheel, control of the pins and of the joint of the ratchet wheel with the drum. Finally, there is an analysis of the stress place on one tooth of the ratchet wheel by the finite element method (FEM). The whole design is done for the critical working conditions. The appendix contains mechanical drawings of the rope and pulley and a production drawing of the ratchet wheel.
