Stanovení a ověření kapacity dráhového systému letiště LKMT po rekonstrukci

Abstract

The content of this master's thesis consists of an analysis of the issue of determining and verifying the runway system capacity at Leoš Janáček Ostrava Airport in connection within the context of planned reconstruction and the implementation of rapid exit taxiways. The aim of the thesis is to assess the impact of these infrastructural changes on the theoretical runway throughput and to determine the time horizon during which the modernized runway will meet future traffic demands. The theoretical part deals with the analysis of the current state of the LKMT airport infrastructure and the methodology of calculating runway system capacity, with a primary focus on the analytical Blumstein method. The practical part of the work focuses on calculating the capacity of the existing and modernized runway system using the Blumstein method and on creating a RWY simulation model in the Witness software environment. The analytically determined capacity of the current runway system is verified through an experiment conducted with the simulation model. A part of the work includes processing the prediction of the future development of the number of IFR movements at the airport. The subsequent part contains an evaluation of the results achieved both by the Blumstein method and by the experiment with the LKMT runway system simulation model. In the conclusion of the thesis, an evaluation of the impact of the reconstruction on the value of the runway system capacity and an assessment of the achievement of the objectives are performed.
