Abstract

This master thesis deals with the implementation of elements of lean manufacturing to achieve optimization of material flow within the company ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Ostrava, as. The theoretical part is focused on the production of steel pipes and on the analysis of lean production methods. The practical part analyzes the current state of preparation charge, and revelations of shortcomings which slow down considerably the production. Subsequent optimization is done in two parts; the first part is the optimization of material flow between ArcelorMittal Ostrava as and its subsidiary ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Ostrava, as. The second part deals with the charge of preparing the material flow within the company ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Ostrava, as. In the thesis conclusion there are recommended proposals resolving the situation.
