Abstract

The diploma thesis deal with questions of surface milling of stainless steel. The introduction describes common characteristics of the stainless steels together with design and geometry of tools for theirs machining. Next chapter deal with machining tools on domestic market. The main part focuses on the experimental tests with chosen of competitors milling cutters. Choice of recommended cutting conditions are verified by the functional and tool lifes cutting tests. Evaluation of eperimental labours describes last part of diploma thesis. At the end, the thesis belong to describe on proposal of solution new design of milling cutters for new assortment Pramet Tools copmany.
