Abstract
The thesis deals with the evaluation of the resistance of a material exposed to a pulsating water jet. Two generators are used for testing, one with a frequency of f = 20 and 40 kHz. The tested samples were fabricated by conventional method and additive 3D printing technology for comparison. In the introduction we learn what water droplet erosion means and what is the form of damage caused in the environment. Furthermore, research that have addressed similar problems for other materials with different results of the issue are presented. The researchers conducted have confirmed that the pulsating water beam is much stronger than expected. The aim of this work was to determine if a material produced by 3D printing technology can resist erosion effects as well as a traditionally produced material. Based on the values obtained, it will be decided if the material has met the required technological parameters and will replace the traditionally manufactured material.
