Biomechanika - Femorální hřeby

Abstract

Master’s thesis is dealing with strength (stress-deformation) FEM analysis of femoral nails, which in medicine are being used for osteosynthesis of fractures of long bones. Introduction indicates the problematic of femoral nailing from medical perspective. Thesis further includes the description of suitable and needed modifications of provided CAD models, boundary conditions, finite element mesh, and evaluation of results regarding safety and medical application. This thesis was realised in cooperation with Faculty hospital Ostrava, and Medin, a.s.
