Abstract

This bachelor's thesis is dealing with short firearms used by police and special forces of Czechoslovakia and Czech Republic. The introduction brings an overview of the firearms, theirs accessories and theirs service ammunition. In the following chapters the thesis states firing cycle diagrams and functional diagrams of chosen firearms ČZ 82 caliber 9 mm Marakov and ČZ 75 caliber 9 mm Luger. Based on determined parameters of each firearm, bullet muzzle energy and breech maximal speed are calculated. The final part of the thesis contains comparison between chosen firearms and evaluation of their advantages.
