This Bachelor thesis is about rationalizing the production of the connecting pin, that is used in the industrial sector as an element for combining components. The connecting pin is a part of a set of handrails designed to carry wheelchairs for handicapped people. The work focuses on optimizing the processes of the connecting pin in order to improve its production primarily in terms of efficiency and cost. Two different production methods are described in the Bachelor thesis, the first method being the original one and the second method being the innovative solution. There are described the manufacturing processes, the adjustment of the machine and the clamping methods of the connecting pin for both production methods in this Bachelor thesis. Last but not least, the work includes a technical-economic evaluation and comparison of the original and innovative production method.
