Abstract

The dissertation work deals with solution of the problem of mutual influence several semi-elliptical surface cracks in their neighborhood. The proposed methodology is based on the creation of an algorithm for creating semi-elliptical surface crack and the subsequent fracture parameters calculation along the entire crack front of this observed crack. Furthermore, the algorithm for creating auxiliary cracks is designed, for their arbitrary position. In this work is performed a study for the correct evaluation of fracture parameters calculation along the crack front, and also for calculations of the stresses between close crack tips to obtain sufficiently accurate results. Calculations are performed for chosen crack configurations, for different shapes and sizes of cracks, and chosen type of loading. There is observed their mutual interaction by increased the values in course of fracture parameters along the crack front on one of the cracks. As another possibility to solve the problem, there was chosen to monitor state of stress and increase of stresses between close crack tips. All numerical solutions in this work were done by FEM software Ansys 11.0.
