Abstract

The subject of this thesis is the design of the heat exchanger for heat recovery from flue gas from the walking beam furnace at VÚHŽ a.s. Dobrá. In the first part explains the reasons for the use of secondary energy resources and performance of VÚHŽ a.s. Company. The second part is dedicated to the different types of heat exchangers, heat transfer methods and the use of heat exchangers. In the final calculation is made stoichiometric flue gas, heat exchange surface of the exchanger and the subsequent design of storage tank, dimensions and use of flue gas heat exchanger.
