Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the design of a tool changer handling arm for automatic tool changing for CNC controlled machines. The first part of the thesis includes a short research on the topic of automatic tool changing, various design solutions of tool changer manipulator arms and the description of general principle of operation of tool changer manipulator arms. The second part of the thesis deals with the actual design of the tool changer handling arm. In the introduction of the second part, the design of the proposed manipulator arm is described and the important nodes are identified. The important nodes of the proposed manipulator arm are further elaborated in necessary details and finally a detailed description of the function of the proposed tool changer manipulator arm is given. The selected components of the handling arm are elaborated in the drawings in the appendix of the bachelor thesis.
