Abstract

Bachelor thesis is dealing with usage of Stateflow tool to design and implement state machine to control elevator model with Arduino. The introduction is devoted to description of the current condition of the elevator model and modifications done to this model. The theoretical part of this thesis describes Stateflow tool and its graphical and nongraphical objects. The thesis also deals with the description of communication between the elevator model and computer. Model is connected to the computer via USB interface and the communication is done over simulated serial port. The thesis contains a general description of Recommened Standard 232 and description of communication protocol of Arduino. The practical part of the thesis deals with a detailed description of the blocks created for communication. The last part of the thesis describes the structure and individual parts of state machine providing the logic of the elevator model.
