Abstract
The thesis focuses on the use of virtual reality in mobile robotics, with an emphasis on teleoperation. The first part examines the current state of virtual reality headsets on the market, their parameters, and overall comparison. It also explores the potential applications of virtual reality in mobile robotics, particularly in teleoperation and simulators.
The practical part of the thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a system for teleoperating mobile robots in virtual reality. The main objective is to create a universal VR application that enables the control of various types of robots without requiring modifications to the core code. The solution includes the design of an independent communication system between the robot and the VR application, the implementation of visualizers for different types of data, and their integration into the VR environment. The practical part also presents a solution for communication with simulated robots, followed by an example of communication with a real robot.
