Abstract

This thesis deals with tongs for handling the gypsum blocks. In the thesis are solved self-locking tongs to handle the exact number of 18 gypsum superblocks Gypstrend Company Ltd. The work shows experimentally determined coefficients of friction, which still continued in the calculation of a lower rate to the blocks themselves. Calculation of the compression force needed to overcome frictional forces. Finite element software Ansys Workbench and 14 are controlled jaw tongs.
