Abstract

The master thesis is focused on the design and cost optimization of hand holder reclining mechanism on birthing bed AVE2 developed and produced by company BORCAD Medical a.s. Introduction is devoted to reclining holders present state analysis and research of company. Definition of convenient grip and its parameters, processing of two engineering designs and their manufacturing are made in the next step. The winning variant is chosen by value analysis and also the risk analysis is made. Functionality of the mechanism was verified by series of tests. In conclusion, the economical evaluation of the wining variant is performed.
